The ABC of Conveyancing is a book which, in the words of the author, will 'demystify' the conveyancing process. Not only conveyancing secretaries and prospective paralegals will benefit; but estate agents, mortgage originators, and bank officials working with mortgage loans will find that ABC helps them understand the what, the why and the how, of conveyancing. Lizelle Kilbourn sums up the purpose of the book as follows: "Conveyancing is a 5 000 piece puzzle, and ABC is the picture on the box."

The beauty of the book is that it uses realistic practical examples to explain a number of property transactions. These are richly illustrated by 300 pages of precedents showing the relevant documents and forms which one would find in the typical transfer, bond and bond cancellation. The ABC of Conveyancing has been written from an educational perspective based on the course material which the author has developed over the last few years while heading up the Igqwetha Training Academy and as such provides many practical insights.

Nic Swart, director of the Legal Education and Training arm of the Law Society (LEAD), has endorsed the work with the following words:
"L.E.A.D. welcomes the new publication. The content is relevant, well structured and presented in an outcomes-based format. This makes it an ideal resource for the training of support staff and even aspirant conveyancers. In fact L.E.A.D has already chosen the book as learning material for its current skills programme. I have no doubt that any firm will benefit from having The ABC of Conveyancing on their shelves."
