Chief Registrar's Circular 10/2008

Chief Registrar's Circular No.10 of 2008 - Mental Health Care Act (Act No. 17 of 2002) - deals with the provisions of section 63(4)(a) of the Mental Health Care Act which concerns the alienation or mortgage of immovable property of mentally ill people.

This Circular repeals and substitutes Chief Registrar's Circular No. 1 of 2005. It discusses the impact of the Act on registration procedures with regard to the appointment of an administrator; alienation or mortgage of immovable property and the applicability of certain provisions of the Administration of Estates Act.
