Costly delays

Despite the Australian Government describing e-conveyancing as 'Australia's joint Government and industry initiative to create an efficient and convenient way of completing property based transactions and lodging land title dealings for registration', e-conveyancing will be launched in 2011 - two years late. The delay has been blamed on the credit crunch and the subsequent lack of funding.
