Conveyancers practising in the Gauteng region are requested to furnish their submissions to the Johannesburg Attorneys Association Property Law Sub Committee as to whether a class action against the Registrar of Deeds, to enforce the implementation of the provisions of the Promotion of Administrative of Justice Act (PAJA) should be supported.

The implementation of PAJA by the Deeds Registries would most importantly have the effect that when a batch of deeds is lodged, a rejection would only take place after full consultation with the lodging conveyancer. For further information see No Deeds Rejection without notice.
