The Land Registry's launch of its e-conveyancing chain matrix pilot has been put on hold until early next year due to technical difficulties. The on-line conveyancing system was due to begin trials at 80 law firms in Bristol, Fareham and Portsmouth next month for six months before being assessed and subsequently rolled out nationally. The system is the first stage in the process that would see all conveyancing transactions carried out electronically. A Land Registry spokeswoman said: 'During the latter stages of testing we discovered some bugs, so the launch date has been put back.'
