Free LexisNexis library access

Please note, this offer has ended.

To all South African legal practitioners,

As a leading provider of legal content and commentary, LexisNexis South Africa has responded to the needs of the legal community during these difficult times with various initiatives designed to support and advance the Rule of Law.

We are pleased to announce that this plan of action includes FREE access for all legal practitioners to our online resources Lexis Library and Lexis Practical Guidance, until 30 April.

Heeding the call…
At LexisNexis, we understand that all legal practitioners will not be conducting business as usual. Advocates, law firms and the judiciary will face the challenges of working remotely and may also be struggling to access the latest legal research and information needed to navigate legal practice.

We exist to support legal practitioners in advancing the rule of law, and that’s why we’ve taken this step to allow free access to our key subscription-based products for this time:

  • Lexis Library: User-friendly online access to the latest legislation, case law and in-depth analysis from industry experts in over 40 research areas. We have also recently launched a new research area: National State of Disaster (COVID-19) which provides access to the latest regulations, directives and other information relating to the COVID-19 state of disaster, as well as current Lexis Library content relevant to the legal implications thereof.

  • Lexis Practical Guidance: Focused on the practical application of the law, Lexis Practical Guidance covers hundreds of topics across 30 legal practice areas and includes guidance notes, checklists, workflows, forms and precedent documents.
