Giving at least three month's notice prior to cancelling one's bond is practically impossible given the commercial realities involved in property transactions. Suspensive conditions have to be met and a purchaser obviously cannot be expected to wait an additional six to eight weeks so that the seller can give sufficient notice to the bank.

Why therefore is this penalty necessary and justifiable he asks?
