Moss Morris

Commercial law firm Moss Morris Attorneys is set to disband at the end of this month, bringing an end to 100 years of practice. Its chairman Oshy Tugendhaft will be setting up his own practice with two other partners as clients had expressed a need for a more personal service.

Moss Morris, founded in 1904 when Johannesburg was a bustling mining town, grew into one of SA's foremost legal practices, and had associations with law firms in countries such as Australia, Canada and the US. Members of the tax department within Moss Morris, partners Daniel Erasmus and Mark Korten, would set up their own practice.

The other partners and support staff will be joining the commercial practice of Routledge Modise, to be known as Routledge Moss Morris.
