In this article, Zerlinda discusses the consideration, confirmation or variation of an itemised estimate of the anticipated income and expenses of the body corporate for the ensuing year - more commonly known as the budget. The budget must ensure that there is an income sufficient for the establishment and retention of an administrative fund, as required by section 37(1)(a) of the Sectional Titles Act 95 of 1986 (“the Act”).

Substitution of rules by the body corporate - Carryn Melissa Durham
In this article, Carryn addresses the two circumstances in which the developer can substitute the scheme rules. It is possible for the body corporate to change the rules initially made by the developer or the prescribed management and conduct rules contained in Annexure 8 and 9 of the Regulations made under the Sectional Titles Act 95 of 1986 (“the Act”).
