Pretoria Registrar's Circular 03/2015

1. Purpose
To provide clarity regarding the procedure to be followed for the establishment of townships. Guidelines are provided in order to create a uniform practice and to prevent unnecessary rejections. Checklists (Annexure A) which set out the requirements for the different Acts as well as for the Ordinance are attached, as is an example of draft conditions of establishment (Annexure B).
