Property transfers open up

Australians in the state of Victoria will no longer be forced to use solicitors for conveyancing work as licensed conveyancers will now be allowed to undertake all aspects of conveyancing transactions. They will be tightly regulated, however, with licences being granted only to those who carry professional indemnity insurance and who are covered by a fidelity fund to compensate consumers for losses caused by fraud. They will also need to complete recognised training courses.
