Scottish Conveyancing

The University of Glasgow Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and Millar & Bryce have made the second edition of An Introduction to Basic Scottish Conveyancing freely available online to the profession.

The manual was the brainchild of Debra Clapham, senior tutor in property law and conveyancing, and is the outcome of the collaboration on a pro bono basis by many members of the profession from a number of different organisations, who contributed their time, experience and expertise to develop this manual for the benefit of those commencing conveyancing practise.

The guide gives a basic understanding of some of the issues that are faced by conveyancing practitioners in their day-to-day lives and should serve as a help with the changes that have come about as a result of the new Land Registration Act and the other legislative changes in the past ten years.
