Section 118 admin nightmare

Section 118 Application - Project ISIS Implementation

The City of Cape Town has been inundated with incorrect electronic/Internet payments made when paying the financial values due for the processing of Section 118 certificates. 

The problems being experienced are:

• Incorrect beneficiary reference being used - only the 9 digit municipal account number must be used.
• Admin fees are being paid into a municipal account and not to a specified account number - 197100003.
• All payments are being paid into one account - if more than one account is due and payable.

The above errors by attorneys are causing an administrative nightmare and delays in processing the Section 118 applications, because of this an administrative fee is to be levied for the account of the attorney for making the final adjustment.
