Neighbours Elizabeth Barkhuysen and Suzanne de Villiers have withdrawn their application in the Cape High Court against the new owners of a single-storey home in Onrus. And have instead agreed to pay towards having the plans altered and made a contribution to the Du Toits' legal fees.
The new roof structure, the plans of which have been approved by the Overstrand municipality, will be flat. The women claimed in papers before the court that the value of their house would have dropped by 20 percent had the alterations gone ahead.
