New regulations to facilitate the availability and use of digital technologies to combat the spread of COVID-19 in South Africa have been published in the Government Gazette under regulation 10(8) of the Disaster Management Regulations, 2020 by communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams. They are valid for the duration of the declared national state of disaster.

In terms of Section 5.1.4 all South African website owners and operators of Internet sites operating within a .zaDNA top level domain name must have a landing page with a visible link to www.sacoronavirus.co.za.
