Welcome to the first edition of the GhostConvey User Club.
So, you must be wondering, "What is this GhostConvey User Club?" It's a website that we have created especially for you!
We will now have the ability to communicate more effectively with you about entertaining topics but some might say, unfortunately, work-related topics too.
We will also require your help and input in finding exciting new topics so please feel free to send us your news, funnies, recipes, experiences and any information that you might feel will benefit your fellow colleagues and we will try to broadcast it to all those people you email or talk to on the phone every day but have never met.

The first winner in our JOIN THE CLUB competition is Margaret Virgin from Van Dyk Potgieter (Bellville) who will be receiving a R500 shopping voucher with our compliments.
Congratulations Margaret, and to those of you who did not win this time, remember there will be similar competitions in the near future, allowing you as club members more chances to win shopping vouchers.
Functions
Nafeza Adam, who heads up the Cape Town support team, reports on one of the highlights of the Cape calendar for legal secretaries - "The Annual Legal Secretaries" functions. Korbitec was one of the sponsors, sponsoring not only the wine for both occasions, but also giving every one of the ladies a goody bag.
Overberg area hosted by STRB - Somerset West
The annual Overberg Legal Secretaries' function was held at Moyos on the Spier Wine Estate on Friday, 1 September 2006. The theme was "Out of Africa" and, boy, did some of the ladies take it oh so seriously! One secretary had a baby doll strapped to her back with a blanket and yet another baby at her breast. :) The food was divine, the decor elegant, and the company excellent. There were lucky numbers taped to each seat and the lucky prizes up for grabs seemed to be the highlight of the evening for most of the ladies.
Colleague Shireen Majiet summed up the experience: 'For me it was an unforgettable outdoor dining experience with a difference, thanks to a liberal helping of true Cape African hospitality!'
Northern Suburbs hosted by Malherbe Hanekom Incorporated
Was held at Rusticana on Friday, 20 October 2006. This Luncheon was memorable and consisted of mouth-watering delicacies and fantastic prizes like vouchers to the value of R1200 or more allowing winners to treat themselves to spa specials, nights away and picnics at wine estates. The comedian Dowe Dolla left everybody with "invaluable advice" which the predominantly female audience appreciated.
All in all, we think that both functions were a great success and most enjoyable events. Click on the purple links below to see the photos saying it all!

Recipe of the month
Easiest Brownie recipe ever
Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup self-raising flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoon cocoa
1 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
pinch salt
Method:
Mix everything together. Bake in a 20cm sq tin at 180 degrees ºC for 35 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.

Our new map searches in WinDeed are a huge hit out in the market place so please pass on the info to any of your Estate Agent contacts to make sure they have access to the program, especially as the software is free, support and training is free and they only pay for the searches they do on WinDeed.

Joke for the Month
A psychiatrist was doing his normal morning rounds when he entered a patient's room. He found one patient sitting on the floor, pretending to saw a piece of wood in half. The second patient was hanging from the ceiling, by his feet.
The doctor asked the first patient what he was doing. The patient replied, "Can't you see I'm sawing this piece of wood in half?" The doctor inquired what the other patient was doing. "Oh. He's my friend, but he's a little crazy." Said the first patient, "He thinks he's a light bulb." The doctor looks up and noticed the second patient's face is going all red.
The doctor says to the first patient "If he's your friend, you should get him down from there before he hurts himself"
The first patient replies, "What? And work in the dark?"
