Chief Registrar's Circular 1/2009

Chief Registrar's Circular No.1 of 2009 - Application of sections 45, 45bis and 45bis(1A) of the Deeds Registries Act (No 47 of 1937) on exclusive use areas and real rights of extension. No uniformity exists in the various deeds registries with regard to the application of these sections - in that not all the deeds registries allow the provisions to be revoked. Therefore pending the amendment of the relevant legislation and to ensure uniformity, Registrars of Deeds are implored to invoke the provisions.
