Chief Registrar's Circular 5/2005

The Chief Registrar's Circular No. 5 of 2005 was issued at the end of March and it becomes effective from 1 May. It deals with the determination of the time period after which outstanding debts due to the Deeds Registration Trading Account will be in arrears (Regulations 4A and 45(8) of the Deeds Registries Act, No 47 of 1937). For the purpose of regulation 45(8) of the Act, this period has been determined to be 30 days from the date of statement. (Paragraph 7 of Chief Registrar's Circular No. 7/2000 refers.)
