Chief Registrar's Circular 5/2009

Chief Registrar's Circular No. 5 of 2009 - The Stamp Duties Act (No 77 of 1968) has been repealed by section 103 of the Revenue Laws Amendment Act (No 60 of 2008) with effect from 01 April 2009. It is important to note that in terms of section 103(3) of the Revenue Laws Amendment, the Stamp Duties Act still applies to lease agreements that have been entered into prior to 1 April 2009.
