A pilot for compulsory e-conveyancing in the UK will be launched in October. It will follow on the busy period for home sales, the introduction of Home Information Packs in June and the launch of a prototype Chain Matrix, intended to provide information about each transaction in a chain and thereby create greater transparency. E-conveyancing will become compulsory in 2009 or 2010.
