Pilot in October 2007

The go-ahead has been given for Land Registry to launch its e-conveyancing pilot service in October 2007, as the period between October and January is the quietest period in the housing market and property professionals will have had time to adjust to the Home Information Packs, which will be introduced on 1 June 2007.

This pilot is one of a number of incremental steps which will result in a compulsory e-conveyancing system being implemented in England by 2009 or 2010.
