Tshwane name change

Recent press reports about the proposed change of name from Pretoria to Tshwane have caused confusion - see Tshwane name change by the book. Regarding the name of the Pretoria Deeds Registry, we have been advised by a representative of the Chief Registrar of Deeds that as the name "Pretoria" will be retained for the city centre and the name "Tshwane" will be used for the greater metropolitan area of Pretoria, the name of the Pretoria Deeds Registry will remain the same.
