CONVEYANCING COURSE FOR PARALEGALS/CONVEYANCING SECRETARIES KZN (2014) The Black Conveyancers Association (BCA) together with its partners Juta SA and Korbitec Holdings will be commencing a training initiative aimed specifically at conveyancing secretaries and paralegals. This entry level course will be presented in a lectured course format (one 3 hour lecture per week for 5 months). Applicants will be introduced to the conveyancing and property landscape.
Applicants will also be provided with a good working knowledge and understanding of what conveyancing is all about, who the role-players are and be given a fairly detailed overview of what the transfer, bond and cancellation process entails.
The course is formally lectured and student interaction and participation is encouraged by way of formal assignments, quick self-tests, formal tests, case studies and occasional role-play situations and self-study. Formative and Summative Assessment (formal and informal) takes place in order to ensure the students keep up with the pace so as to ensure that the applicant has an practical understanding of the process to adequately prepare them for prospective employment.
COURSE DURATION: 5 MONTHS (14th May 2014 – 17th September 2014)
SESSIONS: Once a week (Wednesday) 2pm-5pm
COST: R 1 250.00 (includes course material, THE ABC OF CONVEYANCING) **Fees to be paid prior to the commencement of the course
